A feminist perspective on the draft
Instead of asking the question: "should women be drafted into war" we should instead be asking ourselves "why is there a war in the first place?" "Who are we really fighting for?"
No one should be drafted into a war that will only benefit the elite while leaving the common man destitute, disabled, and alone.
The phrase is "peace in the Middle East" but we are the one's causing civil unrest in the Middle East and for what? Cheaper gas prices?
I'm sorry but I fundamentally believe that a human life is worth more than $4 per gallon. And if you believe in humanity, you should too.
